Take My Hand

Yesterday I began the dreaded task of packing up my apartment. After living in the same place for most of my undergrad career I have my work cut out for me. It's been hard to know where to start since I'll still be here for a few weeks. I decided to start by packing up all the stuff I wanted to save but wouldn't be putting up in my "big girl" apartment. While in the process of this, I stumbled upon some long forgotten pictures of me and my best friends. And when I say long forgotten I mean I was still in glasses and braces in some of these pictures, not my best stage....

Easter '02 at the Behr's, a tradition still today

"Shower Party" at GCCC one year we were counseling.
We tried to see how many people could fit in the shower and still shampoo their hair.
Grand total = 5

I love these girls so much and have more memories with them than I can count. God has blessed me so much by bringing them into my life when I was only 7 years old. I'm so thankful that they're still a part of my life and are here with me during this next stage of life. Now if only their boyfriends would get their acts together and propose already!

After spending all that time packing and cleaning I decided to reward myself with baking. If you love to bake and have seen Joy the Baker's blog, you're missing out! I stumbled upon her, quite literally, a few months back and have had this wonderful recipe for Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread saved for a while now. Next time I'll need to make sure there are others around when I bake it. It's much bigger than I expected and since I don't eat very many sweets I barely made a dent in it. It takes awhile with all the time you spend waiting for it to rise, but so worth it. Wait for a rainy day like I did and you'll be just fine. This was also my first experience using active dry yeast, and I was quite proud of myself!
